Google assistant can see and understand via Google Lens
At Google’s I/O developer conference, CEO Sundar Pichai made announcement of Google Lens , a technology product that leverages Google’s computer vision and AI technology in order to bring smarts directly to your phone’s camera.
Lens uses machine learning to examine photos viewed through your phone’s camera, or on saved photos on your phone, and can use the images to complete tasks.
Google lens is first being added to Google Photos and the personalized AI software Assistant, which is available on an increasing number of devices.
A few things Lens can do:
Tell species of a flower , just by viewing the flower through your phone’s camera
Read a complicated Wi-Fi password through your phone’s camera and automatically log you into the network
By just flashing your camera over the physical place , it would recognize the restaurant by name and also offer you reviews and other information about the restaurant or retail store across the street.
