LHB Coaches :
The coaches are designed for an operating speed up to 160 km/h and could go up to 200 km/h.
Anti-telescopic ,they do not get turned over or flip in case of a collision.
Made of stainless steel and the interiors are of aluminium.
Maximum noise level of 60 decibels compared to 100Db in conventional coaches.
Coaches are designed in Germany and manufactured in Rail Coach Factory Kapurthala.
Bogies:
Welded H frame type.
The wheel base is 2560 mm, the wheel diameter new 915 mm and at maximum wear 845 mm.
Primary suspension with articulated arms and coil springs,
For braking on each axle two disc brakes with 640 mm diameter, brake cylinders and automatic slack adjuster
Advanced pneumatic disc brake system in each coach for efficient braking at higher speeds.
Couplers:
The automatic center buffer coupler of AAR tight lock type at the coach end
The coupler can be opened from the side by a lever

Air conditioning:
Two compact roof-mounted air-conditioning units which have a cooling capacity of approximately 2x22.5 KW
And a heating capacity of 2x6 KW.

Toilets:
Uses Bio Toilets instead of Controlled discharge toilet system would become functional only when the speed of the coach crosses 30 kmph.
This would also ensure that as against normal toilets that need 10 litres of water per flush, only 1.5 litre of water would be consumed.
Water level indicators
Sensorised taps, flushing system, hand driers, tissue paper dispenser and soap dispenser in toilets
Accessible dustbin with garbage compacting feature for higher capacity.
